The wine : From two plots facing due south, promoting optimal ripening of the grapes, this Savigny-lès-Beaune seduces with its generous and ripe fruitiness. The nose reveals beautiful juicy notes of morello cherry and blackberry, complemented by a delicate floral touch that brings freshness and elegance. The palate is harmonious and silky, supported by a lovely concentration and a smooth texture. Aged for 18 months in barrels, this wine gains depth and complexity, with subtle notes of toasted bread and a delicately oaked structure. A refined Pinot Noir, full of finesse and roundness, which perfectly illustrates the excellent work of the Decelle et Fils estate.

The estate : Founded in 2009 by Olivier Decelle (Mas Amiel in Languedoc, Vignoble de Boisseyt in Rhône, Château Jean-Faure in Saint-Émilion) and Pierre-Jean Villa (famous winemaker from the northern Rhône Valley), the estate was originally called Decelle-Villa. Following his departure in 2020, the business changed its name to Decelle & Fils. Based in Nuits-Saint-Georges, the estate now has 7 hectares cultivated organically on the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. The twenty or so cuvées produced across the different appellations perfectly express the diversity of character found in Burgundy’s terroirs and climates.
