Key words: Power / Freshness / Elegance
The wine: Chez Paul is a delicious 100% Cabernet-sauvignon whose 12 months of aging in tuns (large wooden containers) gave it a lot of patina and elegance. This great wine from the Albert de Conti estate indeed presents a nice amplitude on the palate as well as a beautifully rich aroma. Evolving into notes of red and black fruits (black cherry, blackberry, raspberry), these are accompanied by a touch of pepper as well as a nicely melted oak. The whole evokes a beautiful power while retaining a lot of freshness. A vintage with silky tannins to open at the table!

The estate: Arrival from Italy to France in the 1920s, The Conti family settled from the start in the South-West, in the heart of Bergeracois. From the 1960s, Albert, the youngest of the siblings, embarked on the winemaking adventure and cultivated a few hectares of vines. Francis, Albert's son, will take over and manage the vines in a cooperative cellar for a time. In the 1990s, he decided to join forces with his cousin Luc at Château Tour des Gendres, the family's other wine property created by Primo Conti, Albert's big brother. In 2022, a new chapter is written and the property is finally split in two. Guillaume, Francis' son, then took charge of 30 hectares and created the domaine Albert de Conti with his brother Paul and Yann Lecoindre, cellar master. The trio works in organic farming and creates a delicious range of vintages. Sometimes serious and complex, but also jovial and festive, the latter are available in AOC Bergerac and Côtes de Bergerac. Discover their wines, you will not be disappointed!
