The wine : La Part Davant is one of the most iconic dry white wines from the Jurançon appellation. Made primarily from Gros Manseng and complemented by Petit Manseng, this cuvée comes from clay-silica soils resting on weathered puddingstone. On tasting, the wine is generous but also mineral and saline. On the palate, you find notes of peach, pear, ripe citrus and flowers, with a mouthfeel that is both enveloping, precise and persistent. Vinification favors indigenous yeasts and aging on lees, particularly in large wooden vats and terracotta jars, to preserve the wine's substance while maintaining its vibrancy. Discover this delicious, characterful dry white wine, perfect as an aperitif or at the table, especially with fish, shellfish, poultry, or pressed cheeses. A real favorite!

The estate : In La Chapelle-de-Rousse, in the heart of Jurançon, Jean-Marc Grussaute manages Domaine Camin Larredya across 13 hectares of vineyards. Heir to a long family history, he took over the estate at the end of the 1980s and gradually turned it into one of the benchmarks of the appellation. Today, the vineyard is managed using organic and biodynamic farming, with meticulous attention paid to the soils, exposures, and the unique character of each plot. Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng, Petit Courbu, and Camaralet produce both dry and sweet white wines, distinguished by the precision, energy, and personality of their terroirs. A reliable choice and an absolute must-discover from the South-West.
