The wine : La Baronne embodies Domaine Fleuriet’s ambition in a full-bodied, intense Sauvignon Blanc of remarkable elegance. Peach and apricot mingle with citrus, joined by luscious mango notes that highlight the ripeness of the fruit. On the palate, judicious oak ageing complements this richness, lending a beautifully rounded texture while allowing the fruit to shine. Freshness balances the wine’s generosity, carrying its flavours through a superb finish. Enjoy it with fish in sauce, scallop risotto or a fine cheeseboard featuring goat’s cheese, Comté and Ossau-Iraty. A white with real character, and a firm favourite of ours!

The estate : Located in Menetou-Râtel, right next to Sancerre, the Domaine Fleuriet is managed by Mathieu and Benoit along with their father Bernard. With great friendliness and an extraordinary sense of hospitality, the two brothers and their father produce magnificent wines where the terroir is expressed with great clarity. Covering 30 hectares (mainly in AOC Sancerre but also in Menetou-Salon), Sauvignon reigns supreme here, accompanied by a little Pinot Noir. The estate has been certified Organic Agriculture since 2016 and Demeter (biodynamics) since 2021. Vinification is carried out with minimal intervention to allow the terroir to express itself (indigenous yeasts, minimal use of sulfur, etc.). The estate's range is varied and all the cuvées have their own identity. The only common point: the quality of the wines!
