The wine : La Baronne is THE top-of-the-range white cuvée from Domaine Fleuriet! Vintage after vintage, the quality of this ample, rich, and intense Sauvignon remains and impresses. Elegant notes of peach, apricot, and citrus blend here with a seductive exotic touch (mango), while the whole is supported by a round and generous texture thanks to perfectly measured barrel aging. The length and balance are also superb, making this bottle an absolute favorite! Divine pairings with fish, cheeses (fresh goat cheese, Comté, Ossau-Iraty, etc.), or even with a scallop risotto. Delicious!

The estate : Located in Menetou-Râtel, right next to Sancerre, the Domaine Fleuriet is managed by Mathieu and Benoit along with their father Bernard. With great friendliness and an extraordinary sense of hospitality, the two brothers and their father produce magnificent wines where the terroir is expressed with great clarity. Covering 30 hectares (mainly in AOC Sancerre but also in Menetou-Salon), Sauvignon reigns supreme here, accompanied by a little Pinot Noir. The estate has been certified Organic Agriculture since 2016 and Demeter (biodynamics) since 2021. Vinification is carried out with minimal intervention to allow the terroir to express itself (indigenous yeasts, minimal use of sulfur, etc.). The estate's range is varied and all the cuvées have their own identity. The only common point: the quality of the wines!
