The Meursault appellation is one of the most renowned in all of Burgundy. Belonging to the Côte de Beaune, the AOC is an extension of the equally famous AOCs Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet, further north. 390 hectares are planted here and produce 98% of white wines made from the Chardonnay grape variety known for their roundness and smoothness thanks to to aging often done in oak barrels. 28% of terroirs have a classification as Premier cru, with in particular the famous climatsLes Charmes and Les Genevrières. Tasting a Meursault is always a great moment of contemplation for connoisseurs.
