The wine : For once, this 1er Cru Meursault Santenots from Domaine Jacques Prieur is an absolute success. Coming from a plot with clay-limestone soils facing East, this terroir allows for harvesting grapes at perfect ripeness and offers very graceful balances. A long aging of 19 months in barrels brings here an indulgent roundness with notes of butter, brioche and vanilla as well as toasted aromas, allowing to balance the saline minerality that runs through this exceptional bottle. A high-flying cuvée, perfectly mastered and capable of long aging !

The estate: Installed in the commune of Meursault since the 19th century, the Jacques Prieur estate  boasts an exceptional heritage of vineyards composed of 21 hectares (11 ha of Pinot Noir and 10 ha of Chardonnay). The brand is notably at the head of magnificent plots on the Grands Crus Musigny, Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Corton-Charlemagne, Clos de Vougeot, and also Montrachet. 14 prestigious Premier Crus as well as the splendid Clos de Mazeray monopoly complete the panorama. While the history of the estate is long and rich, it is the Labruyère family who, for more than 30 years and always supported by the Prieur family, continues to enhance this Burgundian wine jewel.
