AOC Muscat de Rivesaltes

The Muscat de Rivesaltes AOC covers 90 communes and nearly 2 900 hectares. It is located in the Roussillon region and specializes in the production of Natural Sweet Wines made from Muscat of Alexandria and Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains grape varieties. These varieties produce very aromatic wines, developing exotic notes, white fruit flavors, as well as floral aromas. These wines are made by mutage, which means adding grape spirit to stop the alcoholic fermentation and preserve the natural sugars present in the grapes.
