Waterford Whisky

Waterford is a true revolution in the world of whisky! Founded in 2016 by Mark Reynier, the distillery has completely shaken up the industry standards with a simple goal: to put barley back at the heart of whisky and offer total transparency and traceability to their customers. By purchasing a bottle, you have access to a wealth of information such as the origin of the barley used (always Irish), the distillation date of your whiskey, the length of its maturation, the types of casks used, etc. The originality of  Waterford also lies in the fact that the barley used comes exclusively from local farms and is tracked in a parcel-based manner by identifying specific terroirs. The cuvées produced are thus mostly Single Farm Origin, meaning whiskeys made using barley from a single, unique farm with the aim of highlighting a specific terroir. A unique vision in the sector and providing an astonishing tasting experience. Mark Reynier even pushes the analogy with the world of wine to the point of producing some Single Malt whiskeys using organic and biodynamic farming methods !
