Buy DO Ribera del Duero wines

The DO Ribera del Duero is one of the most famous wine regions in Spain with the DOCa Rioja. Extending over 25,000 hectares located between 720 and 1000m in altitude, it is anchored inland, approximately 180km north of Madrid. Its climate is very continental and Mediterranean, characterized by very high temperatures (particularly in summer) and cold, harsh winters. The precipitation here is very low, around 400 to 500mm a year. The soils of the vineyard are clay-limestone and stony, allowing the local star grape variety, Tempranillo (90% of plantations), to fully flourish. This can be blended with other minority varieties (maximum 25%) such as Cabernet-Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec or Grenache rouge.
