The wine: The "Roble" cuvée is a great classic perfectly expressing the characteristics of the Spanish appellation Ribera del Duero. Made from 100% Tempranillo grapes, this delicious wine distills juicy aromas of ripe black fruit (blackcurrant, cherry, blackberry), floral notes (violet), a pretty woody bringing a hint of vanilla as well as tasty spices (pepper, cinnamon). Its generous and powerful material will pair perfectly with red meat!

The Estate:Protos is a major historical entity in wine-growing Spain. Created in 1927 under the name "Ribera del Duero" (when the appellation did not yet exist), the company is the result of the union of 11 Spanish winegrowers wishing to reveal the quality of their terroirs to the world. In 1982, when DO Ribera del Duero was founded, the estate then gave it its name and changed its own to "Protos", meaning "First" in Greek. Today, the farm covers 1400 hectares and the brand is exported all over the world. Its generous and authentic wines are recognized and praised by amateurs and professionals.
