Mainly known for its lovely production of Armagnacs, the Château Laballe actually started producing wine in the 1970s. Covering 17 hectares today and managed since 2007 by Cyril Laudet (the 8th generation of the family) and his wife Julie, the estate produces quality cuvées with excellent value for money. The terroir here is sandy, typical of the Bas-Armagnac soils, and many grape varieties coexist within the vineyard, such as Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng, Colombard, Sauvignonor even Ugni Blanc for the white wines.On the red side, the Tannat, Merlotor even Cabernet-Sauvignon thrive wonderfully.
