The AOC Pommard is located within the Côte de Beaune and extends over 350 hectares exclusively planted with Pinot noir. More than 30% of the terroirs are classified as Premier Cru (28 climats), distinguishing steep areas with beautiful exposures. In the north, the wines produced present a rather elegant and supple profile while in the south of the appellation, more structured and tannic wines are produced. After a few years in bottle, many vintages are distinguished by fairly racy and vinous aromas tending towards animal notes.
