The spirit : This Amber Agricole Rum Profil 62 is definitely the most indulgent of its range. Its aging for almost two years in American oak barrels gives it a consensual and generous profile, making it an ideal introduction to agricole rum. Particularly harmonious, its aromatic profile  evolves with fruity notes of apricot, peach, pineapple and also expresses  aromas of acacia honey, sugarcane as well as warm spices (pepper, vanilla, clove, etc.). A very well-balanced woody touch definitely affirms the beautiful overall complexity of this great spirit. Please note, there won't be enough for everyone as volumes are very limited each year (only 900 bottles)!

The brand : Smallest distillery in Martinique, Neisson resembles a whimsical kaleidoscope of green and pink houses that seem to have tried to imitate the surrounding lush vegetation. Since 1932, three generations have succeeded one another there, preserving know-how rooted in the greatest Martiniquais tradition. Grégory Vernant-Neisson, a young man in his forties at the head of the distillery, explains about his rum, which benefits from the AOC Rhum Agricole Martinique : “The first thing to know about Martinican rum is that it is made directly from sugarcane juice, not molasses.” Behind the Neisson philosophy, special attention is paid to the value of terroir. Because Martinique, with its climate and volcanic soil (notably in the north of the island where the distillery is located), stamps the aromatic palette of Neisson rums with unique flavors recognized worldwide.
