The spirit : Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin is the result of the remarkable creativity of its inventor, the Irishman PJ Rigney. While the botanicals used come from all over the world, they are particularly marked by an Asian influence (China, India, Indonesia, Cambodia, etc.). Beyond the traditional ingredients of gin such as juniper berries or angelica root, this gin also uses Chinese green tea Gunpowder as well as numerous citrus fruits such as Kaffir lime, lemon, and grapefruit. The aromatic profile is therefore resolutely oriented towards a very refined exoticism and develops delicious citrus notes supported by a subtle spicy touch. The alcohol is exceptionally smooth, so this Gin can easily be enjoyed neat or on the rocks. Of course, a good tonic will also enhance it and make this spirit a fantastic cocktail partner!

The brand : The Shed Distillery, the creator of this Gin, is based in the town of Drumshanbo in the north of the Republic of Ireland. This distillery was founded in 2014 by PJ Rigney, an Irish veteran of the spirits industry. His ambition: to create spirits inspired by his experiences in a wild place where nature reigns supreme, in the heart of rural Ireland. This is why the botanicals used come from all over the world (China, Indonesia, India, Morocco, etc.), echoing PJ Rigney's many travels around the world. To create a link with Ireland, the locally growing meadowsweet plant is also used. The animal depicted on the bottles is the "Jackalope," a creature that is both hare and antelope, originating from American legends.
