The estate : San Marzano is a cooperative in Puglia created in the eponymous town in 1962 by 19 local producers who came together to promote their terroir. Today, it has become one of the most important wineries in the region with 1200 producer-partners for an area of about 1500 hectares of vineyards. Francesco Cavallo has been its President since 1982 and has successfully led the major shift towards quality in the region's wine sector by modernizing the organization of the cooperative and investing in a young, dynamic, and ambitious team.
