The estate : Located in Val-du-Layon, south of Angers, the Ogereau estate now covers 24 hectares and has been certified Organic Farming since 2019. Emmanuel and his parents produce wines of all colors in AOC Anjou, Anjou-Villages, Savennières, Côteaux-du-Layon, and Quarts-de-Chaume. Thanks to Vincent Ogereau, the estate has built a solid reputation since the 1980s and produces wines where the terroir is expressed with great precision. Since 2014, it is Emmanuel (5th generation) who continues this ongoing search for identity. Harvesting is manual, indigenous yeasts are used, and the use of sulfur in winemaking is minimal. The terroir is mainly composed of schist, sand as well as volcanic rocks. The range of wines is wide, but minerality, fruit richness, and the class of the aging process are strong markers of this great Anjou estate.
