The wine : La Brigadière is definitely one of our big favorites in Burgundy ! This aromatic and charming chardonnay is indeed revealed through elegant notes of butter, vanilla, and toasted bread, perfectly balanced by a fine mineral structure. Indulgent notes of peach, citrus, and apricot also join the party and create an absolutely divine wine. The Raquillet family delights us once again with this exquisite bottle from the Côte Chalonnaise, which will pair superbly well with shellfish, grilled fish, and white meats.

The estate : From a lineage of 11 generations of winegrowers, François Raquillet began working the vineyard with his father in 1984 and took over the estate in 1990 with his wife Emmanuelle. From then on, he made significant changes to the work philosophy by reducing yields and introducing  the use of top-quality barrels. The estate now cultivates 14 hectares of vines (75% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay) within the Mercurey AOC in Côte Chalonnaise and offers a  diverse range of high-level white and red wines. Since 2018, their daughter Jeanne has joined them on the estate, ensuring the family continuity of the business.
