The wine : The cuvée Terroir de Clessé is a magnificent Chardonnay that perfectly embodies the clay-limestone terroir of the hillsides of the village of Clessé, in the south of Burgundy. The vines, cultivated using biodynamic agriculture, produce here a concentrated and intense white wine while maintaining a fine mineral tension. The nose offers aromas of ripe pear, peach, apricot, golden apple, and white flowers, accompanied by notes of butter, brioche, and hazelnut. On the palate, the wine immediately seduces with its velvety texture. At once refined, powerful and indulgent, this Viré-Clessé will pair superbly well with grilled fish, shellfish, roasted poultry, and matured cheeses.

The estate : Located in the heart of the Mâconnais, Domaine des Gandines is managed by the Dananchet family, cultivating its 15 hectares using organic and biodynamic farming to preserve the natural balance of the soil and the vine.The plots are located on clay-limestone soils typical of Burgundy, meticulously cultivated to express their full potential. Mainly made from Chardonnay, and sometimes from Gamay or Pinot Noir, the grape varieties give rise to indulgent and generous wines, where the ripeness of the fruit is perfectly balanced by a beautiful minerality. The estate's cuvées are distinguished by their aromatic purity, delicate texture, and their ability to faithfully reflect the identity of their terroir.
