The wine : The "Clos de Mosny" cuvée is a delicious, complex, and intense dry white wine, a true reflection of the clay-limestone terroir of the Montlouis-sur-Loire appellation. Its robe, a bright golden yellow, heralds the aromatic richness that awaits on the palate. Full-bodied and structured, this nectar offers tasting notes of ripe white fruits (peach, apricot), mirabelle plum, quince, honey, white flowers, as well as a delightful exotic touch. A subtle oakiness is also present, giving the whole a buttery and gently vanilla character. The persistent and silky finish is absolutely divine. Wonderful pairings to be expected with sauced fish and poultry dishes or with matured goat cheeses. A real favorite!

The estate : Located in the heart of the Montlouis-sur-Loire appellation, the Domaine de la Taille aux Loups is one of the jewels of the Loire Valley. Brought to excellence by Jacky Blot, the estate has, since 2023—the year of his unfortunate passing, been under the direction of his son Jean-Philippe. The vineyard covers 45 hectares, entirely dedicated to the Chenin grape variety. Here, the vines are rooted in varied terroirs, composed of clay-limestone soils and sand, giving the cuvées remarkable purity and complexity. Work is carried out with respect for nature, using an organic approach and manual harvesting, ensuring an authentic expression of the terroir. The estate is particularly renowned for its exceptionally refined dry white wines, as well as its elegant sparkling and distinguished sweet wines, all with impressive aging potential.
