The wine : Produced in limited quantities, Les Laquets is the flagship single-vineyard cuvée of Cosse Maisonneuve. Sourced from the estate's oldest vines, planted on a high-altitude limestone plateau, it reveals a Malbec of remarkable depth, combining impressive concentration with outstanding freshness. The nose is beautifully complex, offering aromas of blackcurrant, wild blackberry, violet, graphite, liquorice, black pepper and subtle toasted oak notes. On the palate, the wine is dense, refined and impeccably structured. Firm yet beautifully polished tannins lead to a long, mineral-driven finish. Each tasting reveals new layers of complexity over time, making Les Laquets a wine built to evolve gracefully for at least a decade, and even longer in the finest vintages. A superb gastronomic wine that pairs beautifully with game, beef tenderloin, slow-braised beef cheeks or well-aged Comté cheese.
