The wine: Formerly called "Au Buchot", this vintage recently changed its name in order to formalize its new official and deserved status of Premier Cru on the AOC Pouilly-Fuissé. Offering an excellent balance between finesse and deliciousness, this delicious chardonnay evolves into gourmet fruity aromas (peach, pear, citrus fruit, mirabelle plum) complemented by woodiness bringing a beautiful roundness buttery as well as a delicious touch of vanilla. The whole is highlighted by a fine mineral framework. Appreciable now, this Burgundian Grand Vin will be able to evolve positively over more than 10 years. A great treat with finesse for amateurs!

The estate: Located in the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, the domaine Cheveau  extends over 20 hectares (15 of Chardonnay and 5 of Gamay) spread out between Davayé and Saint-Amour. Nicolas, Julien and Aurélie manage their vines with great care, allowing a precise expression of the terroirs in each of their cuvées. The harvest is manual and each plot is vinified separately in demi-muids, tuns or stainless steel vats. Inputs are limited as much as possible so that each bottle is the truest expression of its origin. A large estate offering excellent wines of consistent quality!
