The wine : Endowed with a beautiful aromatic intensity, this Pouilly-Fuissé Les Vignes du Hameau comes from a clay-limestone terroir located in the very heart of the hamlet of Pouilly. Aged in oak barrels for 14 months, its profile is decidedly indulgent with its buttery and vanilla notes wrapped in a very elegant oakiness. Beautiful aromas of fruit are also present, mainly featuring peach, pear, and mirabelle plum, as well as a hint of citrus. Perfectly enjoyable in its youth, this cuvée will also evolve positively over 10 years. Pair with a fish in butter sauce or a fine cheese platter...a delight!

The estate : Located in the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, the Cheveau estate covers 20 hectares (15 of Chardonnay and 5 of Gamay) spread between Davayé and Saint-Amour. Nicolas, Julien, and Aurélie tend their vines with great care, allowing a precise expression of the terroirs in each of their cuvées. The harvest is manual and each plot is vinified separately in demi-muids, foudres, or stainless steel tanks. Additives are kept to a minimum so that each bottle is the truest expression of its origin. A great estate offering excellent wines of consistent quality!
