The wine: Endowed with a beautiful power aromatic, this Pouilly- Fuissé Les Vignes du Hameau comes from a clay-limestone terroir located in the heart of the hamlet of Pouilly. Matured in oak barrels for 14 months, its profile turns resolutely towards gourmandise with its buttery and vanilla notes coated with a very elegant oak. Beautiful fruity aromas are also present, focusing mainly on peach, pear and Mirabelle plum but also on a hint of citrus. Perfectly appreciable in its youth, this vintage will also evolve positively over 10 years. Pair with fish in butter sauce or a beautiful cheese platter...a treat!

The estate: Located in the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, the domaine Cheveau  extends over 20 hectares (15 of Chardonnay and 5 of Gamay) spread out between Davayé and Saint-Amour. Nicolas, Julien and Aurélie manage their vines with great care, allowing a precise expression of the terroirs in each of their cuvées. The harvest is manual and each plot is vinified separately in demi-muids, tuns or stainless steel vats. Inputs are limited as much as possible so that each bottle is the truest expression of its origin. A large estate offering excellent wines of consistent quality!
