The wine : The cuvée Sur le mont once again proves that the appellations of the Mâconnais deserve greater recognition and are currently among the best value for money in Burgundy! This beautiful bottle is indeed an ideal link between roundness and minerality. Here,  lovely aromas of citrus, peach, pear, and mirabelle blend with delicious yet subtle notes of butter and vanilla from the aging process, one third of which is done in oak barrels. An excellent delicious and fruity Chardonnay from Domaine Cheveau!

The estate : Located in the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation, the Domaine Cheveau covers 20 hectares (15 of Chardonnay and 5 of Gamay) spread between Davayé and Saint-Amour. Nicolas, Julien, and Aurélie tend their vines with great care, allowing a precise expression of the terroirs in each of their cuvées. The harvest is manual and each plot is vinified separately in demi-muids, foudres, or stainless steel vats. Additives are kept to a minimum so that each bottle is the truest expression of its origin. A great estate offering excellent wines of consistent quality!
