The wine : Quite simply one of the best crémants from the Alsace region! This Brut Nature indeed offers a great purity as well as a delicious freshness enhanced by the absence of dosage made possible by the excellent ripeness of the harvested grapes. The aromatic profile evokes delicate floral notes (honeysuckle, hawthorn) and fruity aromas (citrus, green apple, peach), highlighted by a subtle but indulgent toasted aspect. An ideal sparkling wine for the aperitif, which will also pair wonderfully with fish and seafood!

The estate : Located in Wettolsheim near Colmar and founded in 1985 by Geneviève Buecher and François Barmès by uniting their family vineyards, the Barmès-Buecher estate is today one of the flagships of Alsatian viticulture. The conversion to biodynamics began as early as 1998, and today it is mainly their children, Maxime (viticulture and winemaking) and Sophie (communication and sales), who manage the 18-hectare estate. With 95% of the vineyard planted with white varieties (mainly Riesling, Gewürztraminer, and Pinot Gris), and thriving on a great mosaic of terroirs unique to Alsace (clay-limestone, marl-sandstone, granite, etc.), the family vineyard produces very pure wines with a lovely aging potential, especially for all the Grands Crus. The yeasts are, of course, indigenous and very little sulfur is used during winemaking.
