The wine : A superb white from Provence, as elegant in the glass as in its presentation! Château Sainte-Marguerite’s Fantastique reveals a rich, refined expression of Rolle, also known as Vermentino. Made entirely from this grape variety, it spends 12 months in new oak barrels, developing delicate notes of butter and vanilla. On the palate, its lush, rounded texture gives the wine depth and presence without compromising its finesse. The flavours linger through a remarkably long finish, befitting this ambitious cuvée. A white to bring out for a special meal, paired with roast fish or poultry in a cream sauce.

The estate : The Fayard family purchased Château Sainte-Marguerite on a whim in 1977: the quality of the plant material, the Mediterranean climate as well as the soils mainly composed of weathered clay and schist were a real favorite for Jean-Pierre Fayard and his wife. At the time only 11 hectares, this superb Provençal estate now consists of a heritage of 75 hectares of vines. This Cru Classé of Provence has since come a long way and harbors great ambitions. The completion in March 2020 of a superb brand-new winery is further proof of this. Certified Organic and Vegan, the estate offers a magnificent high-level range that does honor to Provence: rosés but also reds and whites live up to the ambitions set by the family.
