The wine : And here is another delicious Cahors proposed by the Croisille family! The Silice cuvée comes from a rare terroir within the appellation, notably composed of siliceous and ferrous red clay soils. These lands express a beautiful character in this Malbec, as well as a lovely aromatic depth. The "Croisille touch" is of course still present, bringing finesse and tannic lightness. On the palate, aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant and black cherry mingle with some smoky notes as well as a very noble peppery and vegetal touch. A bottle that will go ideally with white and red meats, or with certain cheeses such as Tomme, Brie or Saint-Nectaire. You can go for it without hesitation!

The estate : In 1979, Bernard and Cécile Croisille arrived in the town of Luzech, very close to Cahors, without any technical background but with a devouring passion for the land and a life project. After difficult first years of planting and clearing of their 7 hectares, the first harvest of 1984 finally arrived. Initially invested in the cooperative system, the couple decided 10 years later to vinify their own vintages. In 2000, a brand new winery was built and things accelerated when Germain, their second son, joined them at the estate. Then, Nicolas, Germain's childhood friend, also joined the farm in 2012. In 2013, the estate was officially converted to organic farming and in 2015 it was It's finally the turn of Simon, last of the siblings Croisille, to join the family adventure in 2015. In recent years, the wines have continued to gain in precision and the Croisilles now have around 30 hectares allowing them to offer a beautiful range of wines ranging from the pleasure vintage of complex and refined Cahors.
