The house : Cbuilt in the early 16th century, the Château du Breuil is a place steeped in history. Indeed, since the French Revolution, several owners have succeeded one another and different economic activities have taken over the place: flax spinning, cheese factory, chocolate factory, cider factory, etc. Nevertheless, it is indeed a Calvados distillery that has occupied the premises since 1954. The property now has 42 hectares on which more than 800 varieties of apples grow (sweet, bitter, bittersweet, tart). After having belonged to the Swiss Diwisa group for around thirty years, the company returned to the French flag in April 2020 and extended its activity to other spirits: whiskeys (distilled on site) and rums (refined on site) now part of the range and are of a superb standard. Today, the influence of the brand is international and does honor to French know-how.
