The wine : One of the greatest white wines of the Rhône! This is how this sublime Châteauneuf-du-Pape from Château Beaucastel could be defined. Composed mainly of the Roussanne grape variety (80% of the blend), this delicious cuvée indeed expresses itself with great refinement and elegance. A great minerality and aromatic purity thus emanate from the glass. The palate is saline, indulgente and offers notes of peach, apricot, pear, and honey, complemented by a wonderful floral touch (hawthorn, honeysuckle) as well as beautiful aromas of butter and vanilla. The finish is of great persistence and is delicately mineral. A fine wine that can be enjoyed right now but also has tremendous aging potential !

The estate : The Château de Beaucastel covers 100 hectares of vineyards, three-quarters of which are in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape AOC (the remaining quarter being in the Côtes-du-Rhône AOC). The property has a terroir with porous soils, composed mainly of rolled pebbles, and is the first vineyard in the Rhône Valley certified in Organic Farming since 1964. The estate is also one of the few to use in its wines all 13 grape varieties authorized in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Managed by the Perrin family, an iconic sibling group of the region and of wine in France, Château de Beaucastel simply represents the elite of its appellation and wine enthusiasts compete for the estate's cuvées year after year.
