The wine : The vintage Brut Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs from the Franck Bonville estate is a wonderful example of the expression of chardonnay within the Côte des Blancs. Minerality, purity as well as chalky aromas emerge from this delicious bottle, perfectly suited to a distinguished aperitif. Here, notes of citrus (lemon, grapefruit, mandarin), green apple, bun and toast combine very well with a fine and airy bubble. A superb Blanc de blancs to put in everyone's mouth!

The domain : The winemaking history of the Bonville family dates back to the beginning of the 20th century when Alfred Bonville bought his first plots in 1900. From the 1930s onwards, the adventure took a more serious turn and the family bought a winegrowers' house in Avize, a few kilometres south of Epernay. Franck Bonville then joined his father at the estate and the latter successfully developed the business and launched the first bottles bearing the Bonville name in 1945. Then, his son, Gilles, took over in the 1970s. For more than 20 years, he modernized the property and renovated the vat room. Finally, since 1996, Olivier Bonville, Gilles' son, has been running the business and thus proudly represents the 5th generation of Bonville. Today, the Franck Bonville vineyard is composed of 15 hectares (exclusively Chardonnay), all located in  Côte des Blancs and within 3 villages classified as Grand Cru: Avize, Oger and Mesnil-sur-Oger. The style of the house is focused on minerality and freshness, making the estate a magnificent example of the expression of Chardonnay in Champagne.
