The wine : The Brut Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs cuvée from Domaine Franck Bonville is a wonderful example of the expression of Chardonnay in the Côte des Blancs. Minerality, purity as well as a delightful chalky character emerge from this delicious bottle, perfectly suited for a distinguished aperitif.  Citrus aromas (lemon, grapefruit, mandarin),  green apple, brioche and toasted bread are combined here with a fine and airy bubble. A superb Blanc de Blancs to be enjoyed by all!

The estate : The Bonville siblings' winemaking history dates back to the early 20th century when Alfred Bonville purchased his first plots in 1900. From the 1930s onwards, the adventure took a more serious turn and the family bought a winemaker's house in Avize, a few kilometers south of Epernay. Franck Bonville then joined his father at the estate. He successfully developed the business and notably launched the first bottles under the Bonville name in 1945. Then, his son Gilles took over in the 1970s. For more than 20 years, he modernized the property and renovated the winery. Finally, since 1996, it has been Olivier Bonville, Gilles' son, who has managed the estate, thus proudly representing the 5th generation of the Bonville family. Today,  Champagnes Franck Bonville, comprise 15 hectares (exclusively Chardonnay), all located in Côte des Blancs and within 3 Grand Cru classified villages: Avize, Oger, and Mesnil-sur-Oger. The house style focuses on the pursuit of minerality and freshness, making the estate a magnificent example of the expression of Chardonnay in Champagne.
