The house : Built at the beginning of the 16th century, the Breuil Castle is a place full of history. Indeed, since the French Revolution, several owners  have succeeded one another and different economic activities have invested the place: linen spinning, cheese factory, chocolate factory, cider factory, etc. Nevertheless, it is indeed a Calvados distillery which has occupied the place since 1954. The property today has 42 hectares on which grow more than 800 varieties of apples (sweet, bitter, bittersweet,  acidulated). After belonging to the Swiss Diwisa group for around thirty years, the company returned to the French flag in April 2020 and expanded its activity to other spirits: whiskies (distilled on site) and rums (refined on site) are now part of the range and are of a superb standard. Today, the brand's influence is international and is a credit to French know-how.
