This variety that our Swiss neighbors call " Hermitage" is indeed a key grape variety for white wines in the Hermitage, Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph appellations. In Provence, it is found in particular in Cassis or Bandol. The wines produced with this variety generally have a fairly light body, a rather low acidity and express juicy notes of white fruits (apricot, peach) as well as aromas of white flowers and dried fruits.
