The AOC Vouvray is located slightly to the east of Tours and extends over 2,200 hectares, exclusively planted from the Chenin grape variety. This magnificent appellation produces not only dry, semi-dry and sweet white wines but also delicious sparkling wines according to the traditional method. , as in Champagne. The soils here are clay-limestone and the oceanic climate with continental influence. The wines can keep very well and some sweet bottles can easily be kept for several decades in the cellar. The same goes for the dry white wines which have a nice acidity as well as a pretty aromatic finesse.
