The Haut-Médoc appellation is located in the southern part of the Médoc appellation, on the left bank, and extends over more than 4500 hectares. The soils here are mainly composed of gravel and clay, very suitable for merlot (50% of the vineyard) and cabernet-sauvignon (43%). The climate is oceanic and allows for few significant temperature variations throughout the year. The wines produced are all red and have high aging potential. They generally express a beautiful power and it is preferable to taste them only after a few years of rest in the cellar so that they express their best.
