The AOC Chassagne-Montrachet is an appellation of the Côte de Beaune covering more than 300 hectares of which approximately half in Premier Cru (55 climates) as well as three Grands Crus. More than 70% of the wines produced today are whites made from the chardonnay grape variety, while the remaining 30% are reds made from pinot noir . The vineyard is located between 220 and 305 meters in altitude and has clay-limestone soils. The wines produced in white are among the most renowned in the whole region and in the world, generally offering a superb balance between minerality and aromatic power.
