The wine: Everything is present in this beautiful Chassagne-Montrachet coming from the "En Pimont" climate and produced by the Au Pied du Mont Chauve estate. The balance between minerality and deliciousness is indeed superb in this bottle and the palate offers notes oscillating between butter, vanilla, a lovely spicy woodiness as well as aromas fruity on peach, pear and fine ripe citrus fruits. The length spreads resolutely on aromas of flint (flint), giving a beautiful length and a lot of presence to this great Burgundian wine. A delight!

The estate: Winegrowers since 1951, the Picard family is an important family within the Burgundy wine world. At the head of 4 estates, the latter owns 140 hectares in the region. Created at the end of the 2000s, Au Pied du Mont Chauve is the latest addition to the family and the brilliant idea of ​​Francine Picard. The latter succeeded her father Michel in 2007 and therefore took over management of all the family estates. The farm covers 35 hectares located in the most beautiful appellations of the Côte de Beaune: Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin as well as several Grands Crus such as Corton-Bressandes or Corton-Charlemagne. The vines have been cultivated biodynamically for several years although no official certification is affixed to the bottles. The vinifications are carried out with the aim of bringing out the uniqueness of each climate and the great mastery of the breeding sublimes their originality. Despite the young age of the estate, the long family experience has very quickly propelled the wines produced to the heights and critics unanimously praise the work of this magnificent estate.
