Buy AOC Bandol wines

Created in 1941, AOC Bandol is spread over 1,500 hectares to the east of Marseille, on the edge of the Mediterranean in full Provence. A true natural amphitheater, the appellation is structured in restanques (terraces) that have been shaped by successive generations of winegrowers. The soils are mainly silico-calcareous and the area boasts an impressive 3,000 hours of sunshine year-round, allowing a lot of richness and complexity to be expressed in the wines. For the red and rosé cuvées, mourvèdre is the emblematic grape variety and can be supplemented with grenache and cinsault. In blanc, clairette, ugni blanc and bourboulenc are the main varietals and can be blended with Sauvignon, Marsanne, Rolle and Sémillon. The Domaine Tempier presented here is a historical exploitation of the region, at the very basis of the birth of the AOC. His wines are impressive in their accuracy and depth and are not to be missed under any circumstances!
