Bellevoye Whisky

Bellevoye was founded in 2013, driven by the visionary spirit of Jean Moueix and Alexandre Sirech, two prominent figures in Bordeaux wine. Their ambition: to create exceptional French whiskies entirely made in France, showcasing the unique terroirs of our regions. To achieve this, the house collaborates with three distilleries located in Alsace, Charente, and the North. Each whisky is first aged in oak barrels, before undergoing a short finishing in specific Cognac barrels, where the Bellevoye cellar is located, in order to reveal the desired aromatic profile. The range offers a variety of characterful spirits: whisky that is peaty, fruity, honeyed, or classic and elegant, thus providing a complete palette to satisfy all tasting desires!

Bellevoye French Whiskies: excellence and tradition

Thanks to unique expertise and a rigorous selection of malts, the house of Bellevoye stands out as one of the major players in French whiskies. Each spirit from the brand comes from a blend of three single malts sourced from distilleries located throughout France, from Charente to Alsace.

The Bellevoye brand offers a selection of whiskies to suit all preferences, whether for personal tasting, with friends, or even as a gift from one of their beautiful gift sets. The reviews from enthusiasts and the awards won in competitions confirm the brand's place among the best French whiskies, combining a smooth alcohol and a beautiful aromatic richness.

Aging in oak casks or barrels brings subtle notes of oak and spices to each product, while a meticulous finish (for example in Sauternes or red wine casks) gives each spirit a long and complex finish.

The Bellevoye whisky range

With Bellevoye, France presents a collection of exceptional Triple Malt whiskies, renowned for their precision and originality. Aged in oak casks and then refined in Cognac, these spirits come in several styles, from the most elegant to the most powerful, to appeal to all enthusiasts. Here is a summary of the main products in the range.

Bellevoye Bleu: the Flagship Triple Malt

Bellevoye Bleu is the iconic whisky of the range, a French triple malt resulting from the blend of three single malts distilled in Alsace, Charente, and the North of France.

After an initial aging in oak casks for three to five years, this spirit benefits from an additional 10-month finishing period in fine-grained French oak barrels.

On the palate, it reveals great roundness with notes of cereals, dried fruits, and a hint of honey, supported by a smooth and elegant texture. It is an accessible, indulgent and balanced whisky, ideal for discovering the Bellevoye universe. It was notably awarded a gold medal at the International Wine & Spirits Competition.

Bellevoye Blanc: indulgent and smooth

Bellevoye Blanc whisky is a blended malt, that is to say, a  blend of several single malts from the same distilleries as Bellevoye Bleu. This one stands out for its delicate notes of orange, hazelnut, flowers, honey, and white fruits, making the palate both indulgentrefined and elegant.

Aged in oak barrels for three to five years, this whisky develops a smooth and silky finish thanks to a finishing in Sauternes casks for about 6 months.

Ideal for tasting as an aperitif or to accompany fine dishes, this exceptional spirit has been awarded gold several times, notably at the Concours Générale Agricole de Paris and the International Spirits Challenge.

Bellevoye Noir: depth and peated intensity

Bellevoye Noir is a French triple malt distinguished by a very elegant ashy peat. The three blended single malts are aged in oak casks for 3 to 5 years then finished in new oak barrels in the Bellevoye cellar in Charente.

On the nose and palate, smoky and spicy notes dominate, enhanced by hints of cereals and white fruits. This is a powerful and complex whisky crafted for lovers of strong sensations.

Bellevoye Rouge: indulgent and elegant

Bellevoye Rouge stands out for its unique finish in barrels of Bordeaux Grands Crus, giving it a slightly amber color with carmine highlights.

This blend reveals aromas of red fruits, vanilla, and sweet spices. The palate is full-bodied and indulgente, with a beautiful structure and a subtly oaked finish.

This whisky is distinguished by its ability to combine the richness of French malts with the elegance of great Bordeaux wines. It has notably been awarded at the World Whisky Masters as well as the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.

Of course, the Bellevoye range is not limited to these references alone. Many other editions have since been created, always with the same vision and rigor. For example, we can mention the very indulgent Bellevoye Prune, the rebellious Bellevoye Orange (Rum finish), or the magnificent Bellevoye Green (Calvados finish). All that remains is for you to make your choice among all these gems !
