Crémant d'Alsace can be produced across the 15,000 hectares of the Alsatian vineyard. It is a sparkling wine that can be made from a single grape variety or a blend of several varieties, notably Pinot Blanc(the most commonly used), Pinot Noir as well as Riesling, Pinot Auxerrois or even Chardonnay, with no restrictions on proportions. Its production method is identical to that of Champagne (here called the traditional method). These delicious Alsatian bubbles are generally distinguished by their freshness and refined character.
