Wine: Gruaud Larose is a iconic property in Saint-Julien displaying year after year an impressive qualitative consistency. This exceptional 2016 vintage confirms this assertion and offers a delicious bouquet combining a deep fruitiness (blackcurrant, cherry, plum, blackberry) with a fine woody spicy (cedar, vanilla, clove , pepper, roasting etc.) which will evolve marvelously over the years. Its ample and full-bodied palate is well maintained by the necessary freshness and offers an excellent length to the taster. Located on the southern part of the AOC Saint-Julien, the estate has a terroir of 82 hectares very well located on a plateau of deep gravel. The Merlaut family defends wines with a more greedy and greedy profile than in the past and the fruit is honored in order to make cuvées more accessible in their youth while preserving their long aging potential.
