The AOC Saint-Joseph is one of the most famous appellations in the Rhône Valley. Beginning under Condrieu and spreading over 1,400 long hectares on the right bank of the Rhône, its vineyard is made up of steep terraces with soils mainly granitic. 90% of production concerns red wines, made from Syrah (a proportion of 10% of white grape varieties is also authorized) while the remaining 10% are white wines made up of the varieties Roussanne and Marsanne. The climate is both continental and Mediterranean, giving very fine balance in the cuvées produced by the region's winegrowers. The reds are often deep, intense and velvety while the whites show a lot of gourmandise and richness. A very great appellation of France!
