The wine: The cuvée Les Garipelées from Domaine de Boisseyt is a Saint-Joseph offering a fine aromatic and complex while maintaining a very fair freshness. A touch of flowers (violet) combined very elegantly with notes of sweet spices (pepper, cinnamon), tapenade or more fruity aromas of blackberry and cassis. Its velvety and charming texture evokes Syrah in all its splendour! A great wine appreciable now and capable of aging in the cellar for more than a decade without problem.

The Estate: The Domaine de Boisseyt is a very old property as mentioned in a writing from 1343. From the revolution, the exploitation becomes family and is transmitted from generation to generation. Then, in 1988, Agnès and Didier Chol took over the 11 hectares and vinified their cuvées there for almost 30 years in AOC Saint-Joseph, Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie and Côtes du Rhône. Finally, in September 2017, the couple definitively handed over the reins to Romain Decelle, son of Olivier Decelle (owner of Decelle & Fils in Burgundy and Mas Amiel in Languedoc). The latter has great ambitions for the farm and now wants to convert the vineyard to organic farming. The long history of the estate and its ability to produce great wines are therefore not about to end...for our greatest happiness!
