Crémant d'Alsace can be produced on the 15,000 hectares of the Alsatian vineyard. It is a sparkling wine which can be made from a single grape variety or a blend of several varieties, notably Pinot blanc (the most used), Pinot noir but also Riesling, Pinot auxerrois or even Chardonnay, without constraint of proportions. Its manufacturing method is identical to that of champagne (here called traditional method). These delicious Alsatian bubbles are generally distinguished by their freshness and their finesse of character.
