Located mainly south of the city of Angers, the AOC Anjou produces red and white wines over approximately 2,500 hectares. The soils are schist and limestone (presence of tuffeau) and the climate of the area is oceanic but experiences little precipitation throughout the year.The king grape variety in white is the chenin (completed by a maximum of 20% of chardonnay and sauvignon) as well as the cabernet-franc and cabernet-sauvignon in red (completed by a maximum of 30% of pineau d'Aunis, grolleau and gamay). The wines of the region are therefore very varied but often express a beautiful fruity and seductive character for the reds, while the whites present concentrated and lively palates with fruity and floral aromas.The domaine Ogereau is a perfect example of the best that the region has to offer!
