The Perrin family delivers here an extraordinary 2007 vintage marked by hot days and cool nights favoring an ideal maturity of the berries. The material is sublimely delicate and the overall balance borders on perfection. The palate is ample, caressing, and offers aromas of morello cherry, sweet spices, vanilla, roasting, a melting oakiness as well as sublime evolution notes drawing towards leather. The length never ends and leads us to the conclusion that we are tasting an exceptional wine!

The Estate: The Château de Beaucastel extends over 100 hectares of vines of which 3/4 are in AOC Châteauneuf-du-Pape (the remaining 1/4 being in AOC Côtes-du-Rhône). The property has a terroir with porous soils, composed mainly of pebbles and is the first vineyard in the Rhône Valley certified in Organic Agriculture since 1964. The farm is also one of the only ones to be used in its wines the 13 grape varieties authorized in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Led by the Perrin family, iconic siblings of the region and of wine in France, Château de Beaucastel quite simply represents the elite of its appellation and connoisseurs snap up the estate's cuvées year after year.
