The AOC Fixin is located at the very north of the Burgundy vineyard, within the Côte de Nuits and an extension of the Marsannay appellation. This is made up of 100 hectares, almost all of Pinot Noir, including 18 hectares classified Premier Cru (6 climates). the vines are often located at a slight altitude between 100m and 300m and the soils are clay-limestone. Pinot noir and chardonnay are the only grape varieties authorized here. The wines produced are generally very good value for money in the region and can express a lot of finesse even if certain vintages are particularly distinguished and full of character, deserving of being left in the cellar.
