The Château Smith Haut Lafitte is located in the commune of Martillac within the AOC Pessac- Léognan. The Cathiard family has run the property since 1990 and in just two decades has hoisted the estate as an absolute point of reference in the region. The 78 hectares are cultivated with great care for the terroir, the vinification is absolutely precise and a cooperage of its own has even been integrated to control all the stages of production. All cuvées have been certified organic since the 2019 vintage and if the first wines of the property are familiar with the Bordeaux elite, the latter are of a quality that few estates can boast of achieving !
