Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is one of the most famous Italian appellations. Located in Tuscany on the small village of Montalcino, it covers over 2,100 hectares of  mainly calcareous soils. Here, only the illustrious Sangiovese grape variety is cultivated and it benefits all year round from a mild Mediterranean climate.
