Evolving on delicious spicy notes of cinnamon, clove and pepper, this pure Tuscan product also develops beautiful fruity aromas (plum, cherry) tinged with 'a touch of undergrowth provided by fine woody. Enjoyable now, don't hesitate to keep this bottle for a few years in the cellar, where it will refine its tannins and develop notes of leather and humus. A treat!

The Estate: Rocca di Castagnoli is a old medieval fortress which was at the origin of the hamlet of Castagnoli. Located in the very heart of Chianti Classico, this village surrounded by woods, vineyards and olive trees overlooksthe surrounding valley from the top of a small hill. Throughout its history, this noble place has belonged to many families, including the Tempi in the 18th century, whose coats of arms still embody the estate today. Fromthen 1981, it is the Calì family that watches over the 92 hectares of vines of the property, composed for the most part of Sangiovese. The siblings have invested a lot and carried out important work of replanting the vineyard and restructuring making the house a safe bet in the region.
