Wine: Brunello di Montalcino is probably the most beautiful appellation of Tuscany. The red wines here experience long aging in barrels then in bottle, like this cuvée which had to wait 24 months in oak barrels then 4 months in bottle before being able to be offered. This superb Sangiovese is also excellent value for money for an appellation where prices are often very high. Aromas of ripe black fruit (blackcurrant, plum, blackberry), earth, chocolate, roasting, leather transport us among the cypresses in Tuscany. A complex and long-lasting elixir !

The estate: La Rasina was created in the 1970s by Santi Mantengoli then transformed into a winery in the 1980s by his son Vasco. It was during this period that the reputation of the Brunello di Montalcino appellation became international. In 1997, Marco Mantengoli, son of Vasco, took over the management of the estate, thus perpetuating the family heritage while plunging into the challenges of modernity. Covering 14 hectares of vines and 4 hectares of olive trees, the magnificent property extends to the east of the town of Montalcino at an average altitude of 350m. Here, the Sangiovese is king. and since the 2017 vintage, the entire vineyard has been certified organic. Discover the estate's wines for an enchanting trip to Tuscany!
