The wine: With almost 51 hectares, the Clos de Vougeot is the largest of the Grands Crus of Burgundy. It is within this that the Jacques Prieur house has a plot of just over one hectare with mainly clay soil. Thanks to this terroir, the estate produces an incredible wine with a ample mouthfeel and very great finesse. Aging for 22 months in barrels (50% of which are new) gives a brilliant patina to this cuvée evolving on seductive fruity notes (kirche cherry, strawberry, raspberry), spicy (licorice, pepper ) as well as a delicious undergrowth and humus appearance. The harmony is total and the length exceptional, once again proving all the know-how of this legendary house. A great wine to pair with poultry, red meat and game.
